What is Memory Care?

At Hearthstone, we provide a safe and caring environment for those suffering memory loss and other dementia disorders.  Our trained staff will help provide the daily needs of your loved ones, including activities to stimulate the senses.   Additional tools may include pressure sensitive pads and motion detection which are tied to our paging system to alert the staff.

What is Assisted Living?

Hearthstone offers an alternative for seniors who may need additional help with their day-to-day needs. We provide a home-style environment with engaging activities, along with excellent care from our staff. Each apartment comes with a kitchenette and a large shower and we encourage you to decorate it to make your loved one feel at home. Check out the gallery for pictures of the apartments.

Covid-19 (updated 2/9/2021)

THANK YOU HERO’s

The Covid-19 pandemic is difficult for all of us, especially the elderly in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. However, “failure to thrive” poses a significant risk as the elderly are restricted from normal contact with family and friends.

At Hearthstone, we understand both risks and have taken steps to ensure we are meeting both State and local Covid-19 infection control guidelines. We recognize the biggest potential risk is with those who are coming into the facility. The Hero’s who work at Hearthstone has been vigilant outside of work and stay home when not feeling well.

During the months from the start of the pandemic until the residents were vaccinated, Hearthstone did not have a case or loss due to Covid-19.

Resident’s comments focus on how much they missed family and visitors, church services, and the hair stylist. Taking their suggestions, we re-modeled our Activities room to allow families to safely visit. We utilized the talents of our employees and their families to provide entertainment and even had a visit from Santa Claus. Church Services are broadcasted and the local youth church groups decorate our windows with hearts and well-wishes. And yes, we brought back the hair stylist!

Once Doctors and Dentists allowed visits, Hearthstone took residents to those appointments to ensure all their healthcare needs were taken care of.

Before Christmas, we worked with the local Dollar Tree store to allow the residents to shop before the store opened to the general public (Huge Thank You to the store manager)
